Aaron had recalled Metagross and went on searching for more prey. The blonde was mad that the guy got away. Hopefully he'll find them again. Or maybe take on whoever had the fucking legendary tearing up the Theater and surrounding area. Staying in the bushes, he found someone. A woman, who had an Ariados setting up a protective web. He stayed hidden. She was a good target for someone. Hopefully he can use her as bait...and pound whoever dared cross her. She looked like League at least. So she wasn't immediately a threat to the town. She didn't have the freaking Groudon over yonder anyways. Fingering the pokeballs at his belt, he waited to see who would show up and with what before he came in like a wrecking ball.

As a figure approached, Kaida returned Munin, crouching next to her Ariados. The trees and webs between them provided them some protection and cover, but she still felt awfully vulnerable.

She didn't recognize the man, and stranger still she wasn't met with immediate attack. Even if he wasn't part of the League, was it possible for her to slither her way out of this?

"Stay away from here. The meteor is coming." She jerked her head up, praying this was a reasonable person, the deadly rock only getting closer in the sky, "We're going to stop it, I promise that. So stay away from me."

If only she knew there was a more battle hungry beast just out of her sight.

Aaron watched as the man approached. He could barely hear them. And he nearly had a stroke. How dumb was this woman? If she didn't recognize him as League, aka a part of the team that they brought here, then he was either a civilian or Rocket. Either way, it warrants an arrest. Yes, he was aware that technically, he could be arrested as well. Even if he was here just to kick Rocket ass. And he didn't recognize the guy as a part of the community here, though that doesn't necessarily mean anything. People move, people leave. But the signs were there! Any normal civilian would be losing their shit right now! Aaron wasn't normal per se...he was a good trainer with two badges and hopefully a third soon. Still, he stayed hidden, observing the man. Seeing if he really was a predator, and the lady his prey.

"With everything that goes wrong all the time, I don't like taking chances." Kaida's shrug was tired and long suffering. Why was she even bothering to talk? Perhaps it was the last time she was in Littleroot, with that Leaguer who thought Rocket could want to help...and then she remembered the burned crops, and something hot like bile rose in her throat.

"Besides, if that happens, it will be my job to take Littleroot back. You never take proper care of things, and it's kinda my job to take care of things." She'd never be a people person, she couldn't. She could understand everyone needed food, security. It was her job to extend that as much as possible.

"I need to get back to the point. Apologies." Of course, she was apologizing to Elijah's Pokemon.

A harsh whistle filled the air, and Locke sprung from her perch, seemingly mindlessly for Elijah...and vanished with a Shadow Sneak, reappearing behind them in an attempt to strike them into the webs.

It was a cheap shot, but it wasn't her job to fight honorably.

Now we're talking! Aaron wasn't afraid to gang up on scum either. At least she was smart enough to figure out that this was at least a sympathizer, if not a fully fledged member. Her Ariados started the fight, blending into the shadows. The five foot five blonde released Magnezone. And whispered a command. "Use Lock-On. I want your first shot to hit, and take it out with Zap Cannon, Try to stay in the bushes." The metal saucer magnet tried to stay in the bushes as it analyzed Frogadier's movements with Lock-On. So that its next strike was a guaranteed hit. Although...if that attack was successful, it may not need much analyzing. Still, Aaron wasn't going to fight honorably here either.

Locke tried to skitter away as she noted the enemy she struck was an illusion, but the spider was not swift enough. Even a simple rock could be deadly if it pierced her exoskeleton. So she decided to make a sacrifice.

Her horn glowed with power, the Ariados crouching to maintain her stance as she used Megahorn. The Smack Down hit hard, shattering and smashing her back, but she survived with a chipped horn. Exoskeleton intact, her legs quivered with a Focus Energy.

Aaron's Magnezone continued to analyze the Frogadier, even as the Ariados was smacked down, it seemed the woman wasn't finished. Her bug's horn glowed green, even with the hard hit, and the legs quivered with power. A Focus Energy? Well, no matter, it looked like the metal magnet had finished it's analyzing, and Locked Onto the water-type. Let's see if he could get a one hit KO. An electric ball formed atop of Magnezone's antennae, surely garnering their attention now. And the blast of electricity was fired at the Frogadier. Zap Cannon was a powerful move, gauranteed to paralyze if it hit. And that was the problem. Lock-On solves that issue, and dramatically increases the odds of it hitting.

Aaron stepped out of the bushes with a cold look across his face, amber eyes piercing the Rocket member. "For a minute there, I was a little worried you'd let this guy trick you. It looked like you needed to treat your Pokemon...your choice to double team this guy or focus on your own first." All three of Magnezone's eyes glared at its opponent as well. Hopefully the Frogedier didn't have some other defense in mind...

Both Locke and Kaida threw themselves to the ground as a sudden Magnezone and it's Zap Cannon suddenly screamed through, momentarily convinced the attack was coming for them. Instead it was...a Leaguer...she didn't recognize him, but decided to accept the help anyway.

"Not tricked...I have something to protect, and this is wasting my time."

She wanted to believe the Rocket man fled, but she was no fool. No fleeing footsteps, but a deathly silence signaled his intent to battle among the smoke.

"Locke, find them." Her voice was just a whisper, hoping to obscure any intent. The Ariados was mostly physical, her claws and horn her main forms of attack. She kept one trick under wraps, her eyes glowing a piercing red before of pulse of Psychic whooshed around her, stripping the bark off of the trees. With Focus Energy coursing through her body, should the Psychic energy hit either trainer or Pokemon, it would hit hard.

Ah. His mistake. Still, he nodded. And was mildly surprised that the Frogadier wasn't KO'd. It had to be pretty close though. He was about to finish it off when it used Smokescreen. Well, so much for that. Returning Magnezone to its pokeball, he released a different Pokemon. Trevenant came out. Let's see how quickly he can finish this. "Wood Hammer. Blow away this smoke. Then strike." The Trevenant grew a wooden hammer with a pointed end for maximum power. With a slam so hard that it actually lifted him off his feet, and the shockwave blew away the smoke, revealing their opponent, and their ally. Hopefully. If so, the tree would create another literal Wood Hammer the appropriate length, and try to smash the frog once for all. Funny how his Trevenant's mood and tendencies often match his own...

TLDR
Aaron returns Magnezone, replaces it with Trevenant.
